We Serve

We serve our God by serving one another. No matter where you are in your Christian walk, outside our Sunday Worship service, serving on one of our ministries or participating in a small group Bible study is critical to spiritual and Christian growth.

Whether you’re the outgoing type and make friends easy or a little shy and slow to get comfortable around new people, there are many opportunities for you to serve or participate at New Hope within your comfort zone. Maybe you’re comfortable in small group settings where  Bible studies or prayer meetings make you feel most at home. Maybe you like to get your hands dirty and cleaning, cutting grass, landscaping or plowing snow is more desirable. Maybe you like to be behind the scenes where preparing meals for someone is most rewarding. Maybe you can play an instrument or belt out the tunes and serving on the Worship band is your calling. Check out our list of ministry leaders, any one of them will be more than happy to talk with you to help you determine what might be the best fit for you. Outside the Sunday morning worship service, it’s often the discussions and fellowship enjoyed while volunteering on a ministry or participating in a small group that helps shape and guide our efforts to be a Christ follower.

And finally, wherever you chose to serve, just know you’ll be a blessing to someone – perhaps someone you’ll never meet or know. Cleaning the building, cutting the grass, painting a hallway may seem more like a necessary chore than a ministry. Please realize, our building is used often by various charities and service organizations throughout the year. Many lives are changed each year by the counseling and meetings that happen on the New Hope property. Women in crisis are counseled, foster children programs train here, married couples start a new life here and grieving families are comforted here as they say goodbye to a loved one. So while some of what we do may seem routine or unimportant, the lasting life-changing events which result from our volunteers is anything but routine or unimportant.
